Adele's '25' Set for 10th Week at No. 1 on Billboard 200 Chart

Adele’s 25 album is set for a 10th week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, according to industry forecasters. Sources suggest the album may earn another 100,000 (or so) equivalent album units in the week ending Feb. 25, which should easily place it at No. 1 on the chart dated March 12.

The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week based on multi-metric consumption, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). The top 10 of the new March 12-dated Billboard 200 chart is scheduled to be revealed on Billboard’s websites on Sunday, Feb. 28.

If 25 nets a 10th week on top, it will be just the fifth album released since 2000 to do so. It would follow Taylor Swift’s 1989 (released in 2014, 11 weeks at No. 1), the Frozen soundtrack (2013, 13 weeks), Adele’s 21 (2011, 24 weeks) and Swift’s Fearless (2008, 11 weeks).

As for the rest of the new top 10 on the Billboard 200 chart, look for Yo Gotti to notch the highest new entry, as his The Art of the Hustle may arrive within the top five. Prognosticators suggest the album could shift around 55,000 to 60,000 units in its first week.
