I was checking some lists of seedboxes like:

my aim would be storing several hundred up to possibly later several TB of data and seed it (i am not a downloader) via bittorrent using mostly open trackers

Advantage would be if i can use it as a OpenVPN server and with SSH (root) access.

I would pay only via cryptocurrency and anonymize myself using Tor network. So if provider is friendly to this.

1. Do you know any of the mentioned providers?
2. Do you know any speed comparison chart of the providers?

I use SeedHost.eu and not had any issues with them and have used multi shared boxes with them from SH8 to SH1.


Seedit4.me I have never used them.
But they use Hetzner server in Germany, last I looked into it.
Hetzner does not allow public trackers and the server owner would get a DMCA so I heard, so they would of block public trackers.

Any shared server/service you will not get root SSH access, but would get jailed SSH, where you are locked to your own area.
The only way to get root access is on a VPS or a dedicated.

TLDR; any of the ones on your list are fine. Dediseed is probably the better one (based on somethings i have researched and i have tried their service for 30 days). Just be smart and DO NOT USE public trackers period the end. It is just a risk for viruses and other issues not worth taking. As strange as it is, there is honor amongst those who share.

Sorry for the late reply here. But most of the sites are all the same these days. The more you pay the more you get in general. However, the experiences I have had state you really do get what you pay for. I haven't used all the ones on the list you posted, but bear in mind that majority have leased lines and leased hardware in a datacenter. That doesn't mean they all do, but most do. Further, keep in mind also that speed and comparison charts will almost always be biased. That is just how these games work. I have used seedhost and seedboxes.cc and a few others to be named, but seedboxes.cc has been the most reliable thus far, but they are also a bit more on the expensive side.

Truth be told, it doesn't matter if you pay with crypto or not for anonymity; i use paypal and i have not had an issue. I also say this because, lets just say i have first hand personal experience with the people who most users of seedboxes and torrents are afraid of (AKA big brothers across the world). There are some grave misconceptions out there. I wont go too much further on this as thats not what you asked.

But in the end, trial them, some have free 30 day where others have 7 days. Can't hurt to give em a go, but remember you will lose what you seed after and if you cancel.
