    Seedboxes.cc U/L traffic, Plex

    Hey all,

My last forum post was on a topic basic enough that I figured much of it out on my own, with the help of a plethora of tutorials and assistance from some TI members. As I am still learning the process my next question is directly related to Seedbox.cc traffic and upload/download controls.

    1. I rub Bat by Seedboxes.cc becuase it was solely recommended here and I'm pleased with the plateform. However, my monthly upload traffic hit 2TB withen 72 hours times, as I downloaded about 500g of media from a public tracker (that's all I have access to as of now because I'm new). I allowed media to seed, while using FileZilla to transfer all files off seedbox a personal external HDD drive. This leads to my question: Does the monthly traffic allowance on the seedbox include download/seeding/and FTP transfering to my local network? How can these be limited appropriately? I do not yet run on a private tracker - so, is it beneficial to seed?

    2. I run an INFUSE application via 4K Apple TV to play 4k/2160p heavy .mkv files in 5.1/7.1 Dolby audio. These files are mostly of what I download and are in my seed. I have not considered switching to PLEX as my media platform, but now, as it's included with the seedbox will do so. My issue with Plex in the past is the stream capabilities of these larger 4K/UHD movie files to the TV. I run 96ping, 50mbps d/l, 20u/l fiberoptic. Will the use of Plex be beneficial to my situation, as well as the issue of having a 2TB traffic cap on the seedbox.

Any immediate help would be appreciated ! Thanks !

@Nodertep other guys will reply to the tech questions...

I just have to say that it's pointless to use a seedbox on public trackers. A VPN to hide your real IP while you are downloading/seeding would be enough (and way cheaper). All these guys on public trackers are limiting their upload speed (or their speed just sucks anyway) and when somebody uses a seebox is their hero since he is sharing the torrents with amazing speeds. So you used 2TB that fast, while you could buffer a few private trackers with these 2 TB and enjoy the buffer in the future! Just join a few decent private trackers and enjoy man!

Yes, I caught the drift it wasn't smart to seed to public tracker - defeats the purpose of the box. I was more curious as to the traffic cap question and what is umbrella'd by that 2TB, with my other questions! Thanks!

When you reach your 2TB traffic only the UP speed will be limited to 2-5mbps (200-600 kbps real speed), your seedbox download speed will be the same 20Gbps (150-300mbps) and your FTP transfer speed is not affected.
