    Seedboxes.cc Privacy Policy

Has anyone had negative experiences regarding the privacy with seedboxes.cc? Their privacy policy is kind of alarming to me.

I have been torrenting on and off over the last 10+ years, however I am new to private trackers. I joined a private tracker last night after reading up on them here, but I am finding that it is a little challenging to obtain the ratio I would like with my current set-up. I have business internet with no cap so speed and data limits have never been an issue for me on public trackers, but when torrenting I run a VPN on my PC which feeds a network connection to a virtual box which is then running through another VPN. This has worked great for me, but using the private tracker I noticed my upload speed was horrid, so I started looking into a seedbox.

Seedboxes.cc seemed to be pushed pretty heavily here (stickied post, ad banners, lots of positive comments) so I checked their site out and I found a plan that works for me. Until I read their privacy policy... They seem to log pretty much all user activity and further down in their privacy policy state how they are willing to disclose your information if they were ever asked to. Is there somewhere I can check how many times they have handed user info over, or does anyone have experience with them doing so either firsthand or through someone you know? My ratio is just okay and I would like it to be higher to help support the community I just joined, but I'm not convinced yet its worth putting myself at risk for. Thanks for taking the time to read this, this site has been a lot of help to me thus far!

Companies that operate in gray areas like file sharing often have public policies for many purposes. They may want it to deter authorities from choosing them to hassle. But if asked for cooperation, they can at least ask for a warrant, etc. With a warrant the privacy policy wouldn't matter anyway, unless they've not kept any records at all, which is unlikely.

To protect your privacy with a seedbox provider, pay in crypto currency and always connect to their website and your seedbox via VPN. Simple as that. Crypto does have some downsides, like maybe not getting a refund if things go badly.

Most home/business connections do fine, even with the network layers you described. If you can DL and UL well with it then it's fine, as long as the port routing is in place to make your torrent client connectable. You just have to be patient and leave it on all hours.
