    Seedbox Testing (newbie 2 seedbox)

    Hiya!

I am running jackett/qbittorrent (on docker) locally through firewall vpn to ipt and tl. The problem with going through vpn is connectivity. I am seeding and downloading just fine (it seems) but the trackers are listing me as 'unconnectable'. Because of this I want to test using a seedbox to see if there is a difference. Before I jump in I have a few questions for the pros here:

    1) Is there a big difference between connectable and unconnectable torrenters?
    2) Is it OK to run my local qbittorrent and remote seedbox side-by-side? If not, why not?
    3) If its OK to do (2), what precautions (if any) should I take to avoid problems with my tracker accounts?
    4) Every media app I use today is local (Plex, Xrr's, Indexers, etc). Should I host only jackett/qbittorrent on the seedbox? Why (not)?
    5) I don't mind testing two or three but, what (IYO) is the best value-for-money seedbox going today? Why?

    Thanks in advance!

Only difference when there are very low amount of seeders, then it is better to get seedbox. Not for new Releases, if you download new releases on seedbox, you will get massive upload ratio EDIT: Even with low seeders, seedbox cannot guarantee high speeds, it based on your luck i guess

    2) Is it OK to run my local qbittorrent and remote seedbox side-by-side? If not, why not?
Mostly yes. Most private tracker allow SEEDING from 3 IPS but downloading to ONLY ONE IP.
Means you SHOULD NOT DOWNLOAD BOTH on seedbox and home.
Why?? ASK the Private trackers !!

    3) If its OK to do (2), what precautions (if any) should I take to avoid problems with my tracker accounts?
DONT DOwnload both seedbox and home at same time.

    4) Every media app I use today is local (Plex, Xrr's, Indexers, etc). Should I host only jackett/qbittorrent on the seedbox? Why (not)?
jackett is better with on seedbox, along with sonarr radarr also on seedbox.

    5) I don't mind testing two or three but, what (IYO) is the best value-for-money seedbox going today? Why?
seedboxws.com for starting out, very very cheap and small, so use only for public trackers.
seedboxes.cc has all in one, you can connect your g-drives to plex and jackett, sonarr, radarr, all in one place in seedboxes.
    There are more options online.
    Dragonbouche and TheTrader like this.

Do most seedboxes provide the option to turn VPN off and direct connect (vpn as an option)? If they don't is it reasonable to assume that they provide port-forwarding so that the tracker lists your account connectable? This may not be easy to answer and I may just have to test but I ask because I'd like to see the difference between connectable and not.

Can you expand on your reasoning for using only public trackers for seedboxws.com (cheap and small), please? (im a bit weary of using public trackers)

Also, I've noticed that some seedboxes force public tracker use. Why is that?

Thanks again for your valued input!!!

    1. Seedbox DO NOT need VPN, they connect directly to the Tracker and they are connectable. Thats the point of a seedbox.

    2. seedboxws, i used to download torrents from public and watch thru my seedbox, and delete later. i dont continue seeding on public.
I dont know which seedbox "forces" public tracker use, Most i know "recommend" private tracker use.
