hello guy, i just bough my first seedbox like four days ago and i have no idea how to use it, i tried to find info about it but i cant understand them, could anyone in simple language tell me how do i seed and upload torrents through the feral seedbox, i would extremely appreciate it, my first seedbox is going to waste because i dont know how to work it

i havnt a clue either thats why i aint bothered getting one yet. that and the fact im gunna wait till i have the money to get one for a year

i dont have the rtorrent interface but there was something there about downloading one, i'm guessing it was necessary, i'll check it out and i'll see how it works out

screenerhunter i did what you pmed me and it worked, the only thing i'm concerned though is the download its great but my upload its like its not working or something, it just uploaded 37kb and that it, it wasnt uploading, the torrents i was downloading there were others that were downloading them too, and i know that while i am downloading i should be uploading too some parts,

What interface is it by the way?

oo i see i did download some large files because it seemed that there were many leechers, this way i though i would get some upload going, and there is not much upload at all
so you are saying that downloading new torrents is the only way

Not the only way.. it just seems that the older .torrents will typically be getting seeded by people with higher speeds.. most people only seed due to someone still being connected to them. A lot of leechers could be spaced out over many peers. Just stay connected and sometimes what will happen is that newer leechers will tend to lock on to what you are seeding. Usually it is the best idea though to grab some newer .torrents.. or go the cross-seeding method to establish a buffer on whatever Tracker you desire. Then from that buffer.. you can go after older ones.

But yes.. as it is.. the best possible way is to connect and download those newer .torrents and that way you will be "First in line" for future leecher/seeders.

Give it a try and check your results.

ok i'll start doing that from now on and i'll see how that works, and what would be a simple explanation that might describe crossseeding, i dont know how to do that
