I'm out of EU too and didn't have to pay VAT. Kimsufi/OVH asks verification like a driver's license to prove that you're out of EU, but Online.net/Oneprovider doesn't require any physical evidence. I think they just rely on the country selection in your account and/or the method of payment.

I guess you can always open up a ticket to them in the worst case and ask a refund for the VAT.

Hey guys. When I try to upload with Deluge the connections drop very, very fast and in the end it was being too annoying to seed anything with it (besides waffles) so I ditched it for rTorrent. Thing is:

The download speed on well seeded torrents while using Deluge is about 80 MiB/s to 95 MiB/s. But this drops drastically to 30 MiB/s to 50 MiB/s on rTorrent.

Do you guys know why would that be? Can I change some settings to make it more aggressive and actually use my whole bandwidth like Deluge does?

as i understand from some forums i have read, deluge is more aggressive in the beginning when there are more leechers and less seeders and rtorrent is more stable and seeds better on the long term.

some people start torrents with deluge and then move them over to rtorrent after a while.

note: i have no personal experience with this technique.

i always install blow clients on my servers, i do see a lot more speed at the beginning when downloading a torrent but i prefer rutorrent overall, just my preference.
