Feralhosting
I just recently purchased an account with Feralhosting to help remove myself from ratio watch on What.CD but I'm having a little difficulty. I open the online web based Transmission GUI but due to being on ratio watch I can't exactly download freeleech torrents via the interface to help with my upload. I do however have previous What.CD torrents currently seeding in Transmission but when I try and transfer them to the web based interface I get denied access due to "freeleeching" not being allowed with my privileges, I try and verify local data but to no avail. I've been transferring them by right clicking on the seeding torrent in Transmission and then going "Save Torrent File As". I then use the web based interface to locate the torrent file and open it.

You can do it otherwise, locate your files, they are in the home/username/private/transmission/data folder, and you have to set this location in your client as the download folder, then if you add the torrent, it will hash it, and seed it.

I'm using a Mac and I'm not quite sure I understand the process. I need to locate the files via the web interface or the Transmission application? I assume you meant the application since you mentioned "client" but I just wanted to verify.

I'm using a FTP client to upload local data straight to the server. I assume I can then save the torrent file from Transmission and then open it via the web based interface?

Hi Brick,
You will have 3 directories under your home/username/private/transmission
data <- location of the file you are seeding or downloading
torrent <- location of the *.torrent files download via the web interface
watch <- location to place *.torrent files using ftp. A Cron job monitors this directory and starts to download the torrent
To seed the music you have on your MAC ftp the music into the data directory on feral.
option 1 - (As g3z4 stated) use the web client interface to redownload the same torrent. It will download the *.torrent file realise it already has the data, starts to check it and then seeds. Now if you are on ratio watch you may not be able to do this as its seen as a download, so option 2
option 2 - Locate the *.torrent file on you MAC for the music you have uploaded and place these files in the watch directory. The server has a cron process that will check this directory and when it sees the *.torrent will start to download. It realises it already has the data does a check and then starts to seed.
