Did anyone get the Online.Net ‘Dedibox kidéchire’ for €2/mo?

I was lucky enough to spot an offer from Online.Net (OVH's main competitor in France) a couple of weeks ago with some old blade servers being sold virtually at cost. This offer has now closed. There is a thread over at LowEndBox.

    Specs are:
    • Dell DCS Blade system
    • VIA Nano U2250 CPU (1 core @1.6 Ghz x64)
    • 2GB of RAM
    • 160GB HDD
    • Gigabit connectivity (no bandwidth guarantee)
    • 100GB FTP backup space in separate datacentre (can mount this for more data storage space if required)
    • 1 IPv4 per server + /48 IPv6 per account

Joodle of the 'Install Windows Image onto Kimsufi Servers' fame also found that his Win8/2012R2 images installed just fine on the Online.Net boxes too. Unfortunately the Intel Drivers for these NICs are not included with Windows 7 or 2008R2 so those images do not work.

I ended up buying two, and am currently running two seedboxes for €4/mo which are pumping out huge amounts of ratio.

Unfortunately the CPU is quite underpowered by does okay for a seedbox. It does struggle with RDP and for the fact it is half a world away from me.

Anyone else get some of these? I am hearing that rTottent + ruTorrent on these simply fly.

Missed it by a few hours though . The server aint that good imho. Lacks the agility of a kimsufi Atom. The Gigabit speeds are an eyewash and support a lil shaky.

online.net support is pretty much useless but the speed is good for what i use it for. mostly music trackers and tv trackers.
for $3 a month, cant go wrong.

Oh, I missed it! Is it a real Gigabit connection?
The capacity is not the best but I would like to have a Gigabit connection.
