Question Can I set-up my own seed-box using Linux?

    Hello guys
I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 desktop edition, and I'm wondering if I can set-up my own seed-box using it? and where I can find tutorial for the absolute beginner (sorry it's my very first time)? or someone who can takes the road with me (help me) if I end up messing up everything.
    Thanks

Thank you for replying, but I have a few questions to ask:
1 - By only running the script all the softwares and torrent plugins will be installed?
2 - Will I notice an increase in torrents download speed?
3 - Will I notice an increase in streaming speed?
    4 - How to download a torrent?
5 - Is it okay to download from both public and private trackers 6 - can I download from any private tracker?
7 - I'm running Ubuntu 12.04 Desktop edition, will the script messed up my system in any way, or do you suggest trying it in a virtual box running Ubuntu 12.04 Server?

    1. with this script it will install only the softwares listed, and you can choose which ones you want to install i believe, (ie webmin) i didnt install it since im not sharing my server with anyone
    2. not sure about the speed, will depend on what connection you are using, either your home or a server, but in the GUI for rutorrent; after the entire script installs it will give you the login details of how to access the web gui via browser
    3. i didnt install mediastream, since one of my box's is a piece of crap and cant handle it.
    4. once the script is installed, and you have the info to access your web gui via browser it will look like utorrent, so press the "+" and you can add torrents, I would suggest creating whatever folder structures you want before adding torrents all over the place
    5. personally, i stay away from public trackers. it depends on where you are located; if your country is really anal about where you download from,
    6. if you are on any private trackers, yes you can download to it no problem. it is preferred by most.
    7. i think it should work for desktop OS, but if in doubt do a test install on a vm box just to make sure. but i think it will be fine. the person who tested this said it had no glitches, havent updated anything on the box yet either. but it is up to you.

@siraj Are you sure you have the full URL?

    Code:
    wget --no-check-certificate https://raw.githubusercontent.com/dannyti/sboxsetup/master/sbfrmsc-dti.sh

Let it download the file and then run the second command
