    Couchpotato/Sonarr File Linking

Not sure if this is the right place, but mods can move as they wish so here goes. I just finished setting up my dedi box with all the bells and whistles (Sonarr, Couchpotato, plex) etc. I have set both Sonarr and Couchpotato to link to my downloaded files under the assumption that a link was basically a shortcut. However, when I view my disk usage my torrent and media folders are both the same size. This is effectively cutting down my storage by half for a simple rename process. Is this the norm or have I made a mistake somewhere? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not too versed with seedboxes (I use a custom homegrown setup), but it sounds like you're not linking the files. It sounds like they're being copied.

Are you pointing Plex at the same folder you're downloading to, or are you pointing it at a folder that contains "links" to your downloads.
