Microsoft is introducing some transparency effects in Windows 10 in an attempt to improve the visual appeal of its new operating system, but users want the company to continue improving the new software in this regard and are now asking for clear glass transparency for the RTM bits.

In a post on UserVoice that received more than 300 votes in just a week, users request the software giant to add a clear glass transparency effect in Windows 10, which would basically retain the transparency look that’s currently available for everyone, but without the color tint.

“Microsoft did a great job by giving us the amazing Black Glass Transparency, now we are hoping for the ‘Clear Glass (No Color) Transparency,’” the user request reads. “Please Microsoft, make it the way you made the black glass (only with a blur effect) but without the old and ugly Stripes effect.”

More Aero features coming back

Microsoft removed the Aero Glass effects in Windows 8, but the company is now working to bring some of these features back in Windows 10 following the avalanche of requests that have reached the web lately.

But the Softies are focusing not only on the visual side of the operating system but also on functionality, so some new Aero features could also land in Windows 10.

Snap options, for example, are greatly enhanced in Windows 10 with ideas borrowed from Aero Snap, but further improved for the modern era, so you can snap windows in the new operating in a way that better tackles productivity and usability.

As far as the look of the rest of the operating system is concerned, Microsoft has apparently picked an all-flat UI, despite the transparency effects that are available in the Start menu. Windows 10 comes with a brand new icon pack but also with redesigned context menus and jump lists.
