Rumor has it that Microsoft might launch Windows 10 Mobile this week (or at least provide us with an official announcement on when this is going to happen), and now it appears that the company is also preparing a new build for members of the Windows Insider program.

Screenshots of Windows 10 Mobile build 14287 have gotten leaked recently, and they not only confirm that the release of a new version is just around the corner but also provide us with a closer look at some of the features that might be included.
For example, NPU notes that Microsoft might update the Alarms app with a new position for the alarm name field. Microsoft Edge will also be able to open PDF documents starting with this build, a feature that’s already available on desktop computers and that will thus arrive on mobiles too.
And last but not least, several apps will receive updates in this build, but the full list and included changes are expected to be disclosed by Microsoft with the official announcement.
Part of the Redstone branch Build 14287 is part of the Redstone branch, so it will only be released for new Lumia devices participating in the Insider program. Microsoft says that new Lumia phones, such as the 950 and 950 XL, will be the only ones getting access to Redstone builds until Windows 10 Mobile gets the green light for Windows Phone devices (which, according to new rumors, will happen sometime this week).
And of course, it’ll also bring several improvements and bug fixes, but it’s still too early to discuss them, given the fact that it’s not yet confirmed that build 14287 is the next one in the queue for insiders.
For the time being, all eyes are on Windows 10 Mobile for Windows Phone devices, as the upgrade is now believed to be just around the corner, with an official announcement rumored to land as soon as today.
