Red face Where can I find old (ancient) versions of Adobe Photoshop?

Hello! I'm new here (as you can see) and I hope I post this in the right section now!

I'm trying to help my dad. He's pretty old and can't use the newer editions of Photoshop.
It's a little frustrating for him, so I told him I'll look around and see if I can find some old version, since that's what he's used to.
When I say old, I literally mean ancien. Like, PS 5x-7x maybe. Would also like to get an ancient version of Ilustrator too.
I have found a couple of sites, but nothing I would trust enough to download from. I have also checked e-bay, but prices seem
to sky rocket when it comes to this old stuff.

It's not a matter of life and death. But if you have any idea of where to look (without getting your computer traumatized for life)
I would really appreciate some help! And so would my dad!

    Cheers!

Oh I'll have to google that! I'm kinda lost when it comes to Adobe. I'm not the one using it tho, it's for my dad so it all depends on how much
similar it is to photoshop if it's a whole other program. But thanks for the suggestion, appreciate it!

I am not an avid Photoshop expert, but I only recently updated from CS1 to CS6 and found very little to be different in terms of function. Is it that difficult to adjust to better software?

Problem solved for 2 weeks now, there's no need to bring it up again.Perhaps his father feels comfortable using an older version of that software.Even me, i feel much comfortable using Windows 7 instead of that crappy Windows 8, for example.

Have you actually used Windows 8, or are you just going off the word of others? I seem to remember people thinking (and still think) Vista was a poor operating system. In fact, it was only very marginally worse than 7.

Perhaps some people will always preffer simple and easy to use features, instead of that pack of bloatware called windows 8. I like my windows clean, a desktop, a start button, quick access to the things and settings i use most of the time.Vista was the worst OS made by microsoft...untill windows 8 came out.Yes, windows 8 is a joke, it doesn't even have a decent start menu like 7...in the 8.1 version they added a joke start button pointing to some shortcuts, it doesn't have aero.Perhaps the best improvement is the reduced boot time by cutting from startup services, but i don't care about that either because i boot up my pc once a day. This is my oppinion, and most of the time, people will have different oppinions, so deal with it instead of trying to convince me that 8 is better than 7.Yes, i'm not a mobile user, i don't care about tablet features added in 8, i use my pc with a mouse and a keyboard. No, i don't like facebook, i barely login once a year, i don't care about it.In my oppinion, 7 will always be better than 8, in fact 7 is the BEST OS ever made by microsoft. But that's just my oppinion, feel free to believe what you want about 8, but stop trying to convince me that it's better, i won't buy that.

Obviously you never used Vista or 8. Vista was and IS a perfectly fine OS. It had some issues before service pack 1 came out, but they were overly exaggerated and not much of a real issue. After service pack 1 was released, it was just fine.

What you have to say about Windows 8 is an absolute joke. You've gone off of hearsay and only listened to the negative about it. The "metro interface" can easily be disabled without any in depth knowledge on how to do so. From there you have a shell that most people are more used to in the Windows environment.

If you think Vista was the worst OS Microsoft ever realized, you clearly never used 95, or ME.

I'm a programmer. If you're going to try to get bullshit past me, you have to do a lot better than that. You know, actually "do" your homework.

My father has alzheimers, so no, adjusting to a new software is not really an option for him. And as DonCorleone said, problem is now solved.
