Had an email sent to me by a very good real life friend. I've removed the names of people for obvious reasons. Its contents are below and I have every reason to believe this is true. Jsut thought i'd pas it on to everyone here ...

(someone's) brother is a very advanced programmer who does computer work for a living and has a high up status with Microsoft. He doesn't send these if they aren't real. If he says this is for real, it for sure is. Be aware.

You should be alert during the next few days. Do not open any message with an attachment entitled 'POSTCARD FROM HALLMARK,'regardless of who sent it to you. It is a virus which opens A POSTCARD IMAGE, which 'burns' the whole hard disc C of your computer.


This virus will be received from someone who has your e-mail address in his/her contact list. This is the reason why you need to send this e-mail to all your contacts. It is better to receive this message 25 times than to receive the virus and open it.


If you receive a mail called' POSTCARD,' even though sent to you by a friend, do not open it! Shut down your computer immediately. This is the worst virus announced by CNN.


It has been classified by Microsoft as the most destructive virus ever. This virus was discovered by McAfee yesterday, and there is no repair yet for this kind of virus. This virus simply destroys the Zero Sector of the Hard Disc, where the vital information is kept.

I believe, a similar virus has already been released and a fix is available.

I believe this is fake, but anything is possible
and I DO NOT recommend anyone to do what it says in this thread ) you will create a lot of spam.
and the hacker who made the virus and is going to send it why do you think he is so dumb to put as "postcard" or whatever it already writes in this tutorial... he can simply change the title of the e-mail LOL so this has to be fake.

so do not send this to all your friends, if everyone will do that, it will be the worst spam ever.
