At the representative forum Mobile World Conference, which these days is held in Barcelona, the Google search engine has provided the public with new useful tools for developers of mobile sites.

The first of these services is called Speed Scorecard. The purpose of the tool is to compare the download speed of the mobile version of a particular site with the download speeds of other web resources on the Web. The basis of the work of Speed Scorecard is the information of the largest database of the Chrome User Experience, which records the experience of interaction between users and mobile Internet sites.

The second tool announced by the search engine also has to do with the speed of the site's download. The service is called Impact Calculator. Its use will help to find out how changing the speed of downloading a mobile version of the site can affect its revenue.

The launch of this tool is dictated by the well-known fact that the low download speed is a direct way to a drastic reduction in the conversion rate. According to Google experts, 1 second of delay when downloading data will cost the site 20% of the conversion.
