Readit is arguably the best Reddit client for Windows Phone and Windows 10 (both PC and mobile), and every new update is quickly downloaded by many of those who are accessing the service and using Microsoft’s platforms.

And today, the developer of the app has released version 5.0, which brings several usability improvements, but also paves the way for several new features coming in the next builds.
First of all, users are now allowed to search and filter comments that are loaded for a post while the subreddit viewing page will remember and reload on navigation the post list scroll position and the viewed post. This is a welcome addition, but it’s worth noting that the feature does not apply to comments.
As for the upcoming additions, Readit will soon get in-app update notifications, so when you launch the app, you should be notified that a new update is available along with a change log. Furthermore, Readit will also offer user and post tagging, plus cloud synchronization features for settings, accounts, read posts user and post tags, and blocked or filtered users.
There’s no timing for the release of these improvements at this point, but given the fact that Readit is updated quite frequently, expect them to arrive in the coming months. Readit is currently enjoying impressive success in the Windows community, so hopefully we won’t have to wait too long for them.
