I have got a nice box just waiting for a NAS install, Can not decide what to use yet.

Any recommendations and why?
Is there one that can also run MySQL on it?

I don't have any experience with one of those pre-built NAS devices, but from what I understand they don't really operate like a real computer, they are just a storage device, so I don't think you'll be able to put MySQL on it.

If that's what you're looking for then going with a normal computer/server would be your best bet. What do you plan on doing with MySQL if I may ask?

I know some pre-built do come with MySQL, but I have a nice i5 with 8 gig ram to convert to NAS.
