Microsoft to Support Only Internet Explorer 11 Starting January 2016

Beginning in January 2016, Microsoft will end its support for older versions of Internet Explorer and instead focus on support for Internet Explorer 11. Always looking ahead, Microsoft will work to improve Internet Explorer 11 with more updated security features, better backwards compatibility, and a better overall browser experience.

After January 12, 2016, Microsoft will no longer provide security updates or technical support for older Internet Explorer versions. According to Microsoft, Internet Explorer 11 will be the last version of Internet Explorer as Microsoft shifts its focus on its next web browser, Microsoft Edge.
