Today Microsoft has rolled out Windows 10 Redstone build 14291 for PC, and because the company’s trying to keep desktops and phones in sync, the very same build is now available for insiders running Windows 10 Mobile too.

Before anything, it’s worth knowing that Redstone builds continue to remain available only on devices that shipped with Windows 10 Mobile in the first place, such as the Lumia 550, 650, 950, and 950 XL. However, Microsoft says that more models will be added to the list now that Windows 10 Mobile has been released for Windows Phone handsets too.
While the PC build comes with Edge extensions, the mobile release doesn’t have such a feature, as the full focus when it comes to this option is on the desktop. Redmond has already confirmed that, at some point in the future, it could bring extensions on mobile devices too, but this clearly takes more time.
On the other hand, if you’re an Edge user on Windows 10 Mobile, it’s now easier to close tabs because Microsoft has increased the size of the close button on the Tabs page.
Here comes the new Windows Maps app What’s more exciting for mobile users is that build 14291 finally brings a major Maps app update, which was kind of critical, given the recent announcement that HERE Maps would be removed from the store.
This update includes one-tap access to search and directions from anywhere on your phone, multiple searches and directions at the same time, the possibility of minimizing search results, directions, and location info, turn-by-turn directions provided by Cortana, offline access for favorite locations, and the ability to search for cities in the 3D list.
Furthermore, this build also includes an updated Alarm & Clock app that comes with a new inline time picker and improved design.
And last but not least, the Feedback Hub is now available, merging the Insider Hub and the Feedback app in just one app that serves all purposes. This is the one destination for insiders who want to get in touch with Microsoft and stay up to date with the latest changes.
