Philip Müller, the leader of the Manjaro Project, and the Manjaro Development Team were proud to announce this past weekend the release and general availability of the eleventh update for Manjaro Linux 15.12 (Capella).

Manjaro Linux 15.12 (Capella) is the current stable release of the Arch Linux-based operating system, and it just received another update pack bringing the latest and greatest open-source software releases, among which we can notice the recently announced KDE Plasma 5.5.5 desktop environment, as well as Linux kernel 4.4.4 LTS.
In addition to the technologies mentioned above, Manjaro Linux 15.12 (Capella) users get the Pamac 3.2 graphical package manager and PHP 7.0.4, along with the latest Haskell and Python packages. The Manjaro command-line (CLI) installer has also been updated as part of Manjaro Update 2016-03-05 (stable).
"We are happy to announce our eleventh update of Manjaro 15.12 (Capella)," said Philip Müller on behalf of the Manjaro Development Team. "It is always good to check for updated packages, even we don’t notify you about them. [...] Please give us feedback and report any findings with this update."
All supported kernel packages have been updated Linux 4.4.4 LTS might be the latest stable kernel branch, but the Manjaro Linux 15.12 (Capella) operating system supports a broad range of kernels, and among those updated as part of the eleventh update pack we can mention Linux 3.10.99 LTS, Linux 3.12.55 LTS, Linux 3.13.11.35, Linux 3.14.63 LTS, Linux 3.16.7.25, Linux 3.18.27 LTS, Linux 3.19.8.15, Linux 4.1.18 LTS, and Linux 4.2.8.4.
Linux kernel 4.3.6 is also supported, but users are being informed that it is an EOL (End-of-Life) branch, which means that it will no longer receive security patches. So it is recommended that you use a supported kernel branch instead. Early adopters can also move to the latest Release Candidate (RC) version of Linux kernel 4.5, which might see the light of day next week.
