GNOME Games app developer Adrien Plazas announced this past weekend the availability for testing of the RC (Release Candidate) build of the upcoming 3.20 release, which should land as part of the GNOME 3.20.

As you may know or not, the GNOME Project is now preparing to seed the Release Candidate version of the highly anticipated GNOME 3.20 desktop environment to the public and OS vendors who want to integrate it into their upcoming distribution releases, such as Fedora 24 Linux.
The GNOME 3.20 RC build should be out on the official channels this Wednesday, March 16, 2016, and as part of the release, we will see updates for many of the project's core components and applications, including the new GNOME Games app introduced in the current cycle, for the GNOME 3.18 desktop environment.
The Release Candidate build of GNOME Games 3.20 (technical version number is 3.19.92) adds some very attractive new features to the software used for managing games libraries, such as support for the open-source MAME (Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator) app and the Neo-Geo Pocket monochrome handheld video game console.
Bugfixes, more improvements There are, of course, even more bugfixes and improvements implemented in the GNOME Games 3.20 RC release, and among the most important changes, we can mention an Amiga MIME-type fix, the ability to verify of the Tracker cursor represents a game or not, and the addition of a Retro module name.
A couple of UI improvements are also present, and several issues reported by users since the second Beta build have been resolved. The complete changelog has been posted at the end of the article, and you can download the GNOME Games 3.20 Release Candidate source package right now via our website.
