They are getting really bad with it in my country. I dont know if you are from the US but I have suddenlink (owned by comcast I believe)... And they are cracking down HARD on people illegally downloading.

I'v never gotten either email (copyright or isp over use) live in Canada with access communication isp iv read that setting utorrent encryption to FORCED will help with the pirated letters. Iv got a server that i download torrents to so i use ftp to download them to my puter would my isp still no what im downloading Probably, does this protect me from the scary copyright right peoples no but it is a zig zag not a straight line lol. Would being on private trackers help with the copy infringement emails. thanks for the post

Thanks for the info. But setting my uTorrent to FORCED will not help with any such letters. I didnt receive a DCMA notice. I received a simple USAGE notice. I.e. how much bandwidth I used. There is no setting I can change that will change that. My IP measures how much goes in and how goes out. Period.

I used to recieve letters from my old ISP about me downloading over the limit which was 100gb every month lol but now i've changed my ISP to a better one and my download limit is 'unlimited'. I'm not sure what they mean by unlimited exactly but i've been downloading shit loads and i havn't gotten a letter yet over the past 6 months so i think i'm fine.
