Can someone please explain how to cross seed on rutorrent webUI

I have tried downloading from tracker 1, waiting until it's complete and seeding

Then downloading the exact same file from tracker 2, it's meant to re-hash or something right?

All that happens is the second file downloads fully

I'm lost, someone please help

just need to download the same torrent and "forzar comprobación" (I dnk how to say in english ) in utorrent and that´s it.

Does your client move the files after completion? if so, you'll have to redirect the torrent to that map.

DO NOT add another tracker to the torrent.

If the file are in the folder already it should start checking instad of downloading, but remember it must be in the folder: "Date" and not in fx in a pack - the file must be the same, from the same "source"

Sounds like your not choosing to download the Torrent to the same folder as Tracker 1.

Save to the same Directory as Tracker 1 and then it should do a recheck. If all the files are the same it will recheck to 100 percent and then start seeding. Files must be the same.

I'm using rutorrent on a seedbox, the file are exactly the same

All the torrent files go to the same place, so I don't understand about what folder?

When I load the second torrent it doesn't re-hash, just starts to download

Yeah the torrent files maybe going to the same place but not to the same folder that is why its downloading again. Its creating a whole new folder and downloads again. Your not pointing the 2nd torrent to the first torrents download folder? If you did it would do a recheck and then seed. Ive never used rutorrent but I am sure its the same process as utorrent.


1) Add torrent from tracker 1 to RuTorrent to folder xyz and wait until download is complete
2) (Use Save as Add same torrent from tracker 2 to RuTorrent to folder xyz. RuTorrent begins to rehash.

You need to point the second torrent to the folder containing the files from the first torrent, not the main map where you put your downloads in.

example: I'm seeding a torrent with a map x.
the default directory for torrents is c:\files
so the map containing the files for that torrent is c:\files\x

now I want to cross-seed. you'll need to redirect your second torrent to c:\files\x and not to c:\files
