Classic Shell is definitely one of the best, if not the best, Start menu app for modern Windows, and many Windows 8 users already know that because, after Microsoft removed the Start menu and the Start button in October 2012, many turned to this app looking for a more familiar desktop.

Recently, many of our readers have asked whether Classic Shell will still work on Windows 10 when the new OS comes out because, for various reasons, the new Start menu that Microsoft developed doesn’t seem to be the best choice for everyone.

And the answer is yes, Classic Shell will fully support Windows 10 when it’s ready, and if you wish to see how it looks and works, you can now give it a try because the latest version already supports the technical preview builds of Windows 10.

There are some bugs, though, and Classic Shell developers say that better stability and reliability are expected in the final version of the app because the current builds could easily break down because of all the changes that Microsoft makes from a new Windows 10 preview release to another.

In the meantime, the latest version appears to be working fine on Windows 10 build 10130, so go ahead and download Classic Shell right away to get a more familiar Start menu in Windows 10.
