Buffalo has made available a new firmware package compatible with its TS-2RZ NAS series, namely 2.47, which fixes a bug that caused working hard drivers to be detected as failed devices in rare circumstances.

Therefore, if this issue has affected your network attached storage and want to get rid of it, make sure your unit isn’t currently running version 2.47 or newer, and save the appropriate package compatible with your system configuration.
Specifically speaking, the producer has provided two downloadable archives, one suitable for Mac OS X platforms, and the other targeted at Microsoft’s Windows Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, and 10 OSes, as well as its Server 2003, 2008, and 2012 operating systems.
If all is OK, extract the downloaded file, connect the TeraStation to a computer and configure the devices to run the updater on the same network subnet. Afterward, exit all programs, run the setup file, and wait for the wizard to recognize the NAS.
Once found, click “Update” and enter the admin and password, hit “Ok,” and wait patiently as the device does its job. The process will take several minutes to complete, thus make sure not to disconnect or power down the TeraStation until the update is installed.
That said, download Buffalo TS-2RZ Series Firmware 2.47, carefully apply it on your device mode, and enjoy these new changes. Also, check back with us as often as possible to stay up to speed with the latest releases.
