I got a new laptop and I'm running it on Windows 8.1. I'm also a gamer and just downloaded my first game. I've been searching for the right software for me to mount the games. So far, I've heard people use Daemon Tools, Alcohol 120 and PowerISO. Which one do you think is the best to use and why? Are there any others that I should use?

Best one, no matter what others say, is Daemon Tools. Power ISO is good too but does not compare with DT in my eyes, even if both programs have about the same functions. With Power ISO you also can burn .nrg files which in Daemon Tools is not possible, but that is not such a big plus cause you rarelly hit upon .nrg files.
Also you can use Winrar if you want, not to mount them but just to open .iso files, or even Windows Explorer-no mounting here either.

Windows 8 and above have their own iso mounting software.Just double click on the game you want to mount and it will automatically show as a drive.Or you can use virtual clone drive it is free software and the best.

He's correct Windows 8.1 can work with ISO images natively but if you just want something extra I prefer Daemon tools lite.
