I thought AVG was a virus. Every try to uninstall it?

The answer to this question changes every 6 months. But I think right now Kaspersky and Webroot are pretty good choices. Right now I am using Webroot (though I also use the free Malwarebytes as a supplement to help out with some adware/spyware stuff). Next month I'll likely be using some other Antivirus software though.

I will say that PCTools and Nortons are probably the worst (though the Business version of Symantec AntiVirus is pretty good), they eat up too much resources and conflict with other programs far too much.

I've always used Norton and never had any problems with any of my machines.
