Kaspersky has always done the job for me.
I've been using Avast Free AV for the last several years.
I used to have Avira, Panda Security, Kaspersky and what not, but since switching to Windows 10 I've been relying exclusively on the built-in Windows Defender. Sometimes I'd run the free version of MalwareBytes, just to be sure. I don't think people need antivirus software. Maintaining good virtual hygiene is key.
I've been using Avast for nearly a decade and it's been adequate enough. However, I just switched to Bitdefender based on reviews that it currently has the best track record of intercepting the latest and greatest malware. It's also using less resources when running than most other anti-viruses, which is a plus for system performance. It's one of those that you can just download, leave in the background to do its thing and forget it's even there. I also downloaded Malwarebytes just in case I catch something.
Ashampoo. Bet you haven't heard of that, huh? I've been using it for a couple years, I've used it alongside other programs to clean up and resell a few computers I buy online. It works great.
eset, for freeware avira
Kaspersky no doubt
Avira is enough for me!
SUPERantiSPYware Free edition. Updated it every day, scan every evening. Great program without any bloat. I love it. Avast free and AVG free often grinded my computers to a holt. :(
kaspersky is the best
