While I don't use it, I believe Kaspersky to be the best, however, I've never had any issues with the free Avast and am currently using AVG, which hasn't caused any noticeable problems as of yet.

There's no such thing has a good anti-virus, I only trust on good user habits and alot of prevention!
But I do trust on a good firewall, I use Windows Firewall Control to improve Windows Firewall options and it does miracles!!!

I get Norton for free from Comcast...seems to work well.
