I'm not into lastest hardware configuration but I must tell you that you have to have 3D monitor with 3D shutter glasses for 3D games and movies.

What is your spending price? Also building a pc can take alot of work you have to make sure everything works together and fits inside the case. Depending on your budget you might wanna order a specialty build pc if you never done this before or if you don't have anyone there with you that is familiar with what there doing.

I would suggest go for i5 processor, it will give you good performance vs value vs energy. If you are into decent amount of gaming go for the Nvidia Gtx 460, again it's really good overclocker (if you are into such things) and performs almost as good as as it's elder brother 465. You can buy any Gigabyte motherboard, reason for this is that most probably you are a heavy down loader and Gigabyte generally provides ample amount of Stata-II ports for adding additional Hard-disks. If you are trying to save money of the motherboard you can go for Biostar or DFI, they are decently good and cheap in India(assuming you are from there). Also, go windows 7 X-64bit if you are planning to have 4Gb memory(RAM).

definitely go with an i5, i have the i5-750 with 8MB cache 2.6 its a beast and for GPU i got a XFX Redeon HD 5870 i cant play crysis with the settings all the way up and it uses less the 50% of the gpu, if it can play crysis then its good considering thats the best graphics wise pc testing game out there. gigabye is really good for mother boards i have the GA-P55A-UD3P also make sue you get a good power supply i reguarly finding myself going cheap on these then regreting it after i go through 3-4 so dont go cheap with it. I would recomend newegg.com they have alot of great deals and there cheap when it comes to ordering parts.

Dude I got a i7 980x in India so I'm pretty sure that you will get an i5 processor, anyway try go-ogling "lynx chandigarh" it's an online computer hardware shop based in Chandigarh. You will be able to get some really good deals from there. Also, the important thing for you to know is the graphics card that I suggested should be able to run Crysis at least on medium settings on a 24 inch TFT so don't worry about that too much until and unless you really a hardcore gamer. As, steven suggested an ATI 5870 is also a good option considering the price fall.

    Processor - 2.66GHz Intel Core i5-750
    Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD2
    Memory - 4GB 1,600MHz DDR3
Graphics Card - Nvidia GeForce GTX 460 1GB
    SMPS - Any 500W.
