Apple has announced earlier the immediate availability of a new maintenance release of its Digital Camera RAW software, version 6.18, for the latest Mac OS X 10.11.2 El Capitan operating system, implementing support for a total of seven digital cameras.

As usual, Apple's announcement remains brief, informing us that Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 6.18 introduces RAW image compatibility for three Canon cameras, two Sony cameras, as well as one Leica and one Olympus digital camera.
The new digital cameras supported on Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan are Canon EOS M10, Canon PowerShot G5 X, Canon PowerShot G9 X, Leica SL (Typ 601), Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark II, Sony Alpha ILCE-7S II, and Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX1R II.
"This update adds RAW image compatibility for the following cameras to OS X El Capitan," reads today's announcement on Apple's website. "For more information on supported RAW formats, see https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT205272.."
