    1080p basic requirements

    what are the basic requirements for 1080p file to play smoothly on laptops?
    i have laptop where 1080p files are sluggish
    specs are

    amd turion dual core processor
    ram-2gb ddr2
    graphics - 256mb nvidia 7600gs
    resolution supported-1440x900
    windows 7 ultimate
    i tried mkv files which are not playing well
    i played .m2ts files through powerdvd which works fine like ps3team releases in full 1080p

    you should use media player classic & install a codecs pack. Then you will be able to play it smoothly. Your specs are adequate to play 1080

    dude try to play with KM Player.I Never faced this kind of problem. With this player you can easily play your hd media files in your laptop as well as desktop.

    Try VLC player,it have option transfer all work from cpu to gpu. Good luck.
