GameStop has released its weekly ad for the week of August 8-14, meaning PS4 and Xbox One owners can find a whole new set of deals on games and accessories. (Sorry, Switch owners, maybe next week?) We've gone through the ad page by page and collected the highlights of this week's sale below. Read on for the goods.

On the software side of things, you can get some great deals on a handful of games. The Montana-set open-world shooter Far Cry 5 is on sale for $35, which is as low as we've seen it go on console. If you can't wait for November 14 to play Fallout 76, you can snag Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition for just $30. It comes with the game and all of the DLC. A lot more Bethesda games are discounted, thanks to the Quake-Con sale going on now. You can find a few more game deals in the list below.

And this one applies to all retailers, but if you pre-order Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, you can participate in the private beta running August 10-13. It gives players access to six maps and six modes: Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardpoint, Kill confirmed, Search and Destroy, and Control.

All the best hardware deals this week are for Xbox One. Buy any new Xbox One console, and you'll get a new game of your choice for free. If you're in the market for an Xbox One X, you can get a nice trade-in deal between now and August 28 that gets you $300 for trading in a PS4 Pro; $250 for a PS4, Nintendo Switch, or Xbox One S; or $200 for an original Xbox One.

If all you need is a new gamepad, you can save $10 on select Xbox One wireless controllers. If you don't mind a wire and you're cool with using third-party accessories, you can save $5 on PowerA wired Xbox One controllers, bringing them down to $30 each.
