The Witcher series, and the third entry in the series, in particular, managed to elevate CD Projekt Red among the best developers still active today. Geralt’s adventures are seemingly done, but it looks like the Polish team is not going to abandon the franchise for good.

Speaking with Polish website Strefalnwestorow, CD Projekt CEO Adam Kiciński reiterated that they have always envisioned The Witcher series as a trilogy, with The Witcher 3 being its conclusion. At the same time, he’s aware that fans and investors would never forgive them if they abandoned the franchise, and so they will likely develop other titles set in the universe in the future.

Adam Kiciński also talked about Cyberpunk 2077, how it’s going to be much bigger in scope than The Witcher 3 and how the team wants it to be even more successful than their previous big RPG. Adam Kiciński also mentioned that the team is happy with the current state of the game and that it’s anxious to finally show it to the world.

The CDP CEO also talked about Gwent, confirming that more features will be coming to the game next year. He also hinted at the release of the game on other platforms in the future.

Cyberpunk 2077 launches on a yet to be confirmed release date. We will keep you updated on the game, as well as on The Witcher series, as soon as more come in on them, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
