Without a doubt, Sony’s E3 2015 demonstration was chock full of great-looking titles, but after wrapping up its presentation with a look at the gameplay from the hotly anticipated Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, a lot of people left with treasure hunting on the brain. While the latest entry in Naughty Dog’s upcoming action-adventure platformer still doesn’t have a specific release date, fans of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End can at least rest easy knowing that an incredible effort is being made to bring Nathan Drake’s world to life down to every meticulous detail.

Since Uncharted 4 is continuing the franchise’s tradition of being a PlayStation exclusive, it’s critical for Naughty Dog to create a game that can help Sony’s current-gen console compete with Microsoft’s Xbox One in the coming year. Having said that, if the trailer shown for Nathan Drake’s last E3 outing is any indication of what’s to come, fans of the game can expect gorgeous, high-octane action by way of exciting gunplay, vehicular combat, and Indiana Jones-styled getaways. And now, for gamers awaiting yet another glimpse at the title, Naughty Dog has taken to their Twitter to officially announce the reveal of Uncharted 4‘s E3 2015 Extended Gameplay Demo on July 1, 11:00AM PST, via the streaming service Twitch.

With little else to go on other than a GIF of Nathan Drake clasping his brother Sam’s waist on a motorcycle as they attempt to outrun what appears to be an armored military truck, it’s a wonder what footage Naughty Dog will air. Bearing that in mind, after Sony had originally promised 15 minutes of gameplay for E3 attendees and ended up splitting it into two separate seven minute segments—as one half was shown during the main stage presentation, and the other was displayed at the company’s show floor booth—it’s quite possible that we’ll get video from the latter trailer that some of us have already seen.

Since a lot of Uncharted fans play the title for its well-scripted stories, with any luck, we’ll be given some actual concrete details about the game’s plot once the trailer runs. Regardless, the gameplay footage shown thus far along with the official screenshots of the game look beautiful, and seem to suit the franchise’s style superbly. For that reason, it’s not too far-fetched to presume that Naughty Dog will deliver the perfect capstone for the Uncharted series.
