Indie developer Headtrip Games has provided a small update on its upcoming virtual reality (VR) compatible videogame, iOmoon, this week with the release of two new screenshots taken directly from gameplay. The shots, which can be seen below, as taken from the title running in VR as it does with the Oculus Rift VR head-mounted display (HMD). They serve as the first update the developer has issued in a month.

Both shots are taken from iOmoon‘s underwater cave environment. The title is a first-person experience in which players explore an alien planet and its various wildlife and vegetation. Players are tasked with seeking shelter after having their suit damage, and struggle with supplies of heat and oxygen. The developer is yet to reveal many more details about the upcoming project.

iOmoon is due to release on PC with full support for the Oculus Rift in the future, though it’s not just when that will happen. VRFocus will continue to follow the title’s development going forward, reporting back with any more updates on its progress.
