The development team at The Creative Assembly and publisher SEGA are announcing that they are delaying their much-awaited Total War: Warhammer to May 24 of this year in order to make sure that they offer the quality that fans of the series are expecting from this first title that will feature a fantasy rather than a real-world setting.

Mike Simpson, the creative director working on the title, states, “This could be the best Total War game we've ever made. We don't want to rush it. It's an enormous game. And we also want to make absolutely sure reviewers have enough time to play it thoroughly before launch.”
Total War: Warhammer was initially set to arrive in late April, and the strategy title will only be offered on the PC.
It’s unclear which areas of the experience The Creative Assembly will focus on during the extra month of development on when they are planning to finally give the community a look at gameplay associated with the mysterious Vampire Counts.
Until launch, Total War fans will also have time to make sure that their computers are powerful enough to run the title at their desired level of quality, with three different specifications mentioned by the company, with the caveat that these represent guidelines rather than absolute recommendations.
