Titanfall game update #8 brings a huge set of gameplay fixes and changes, according to developer Respawn Entertainment, from improvements to the loading process to many different tweaks to regular shooter gameplay.

Titanfall appeared back in March for the PC and Xbox One and surfaced on the Xbox 360 in April, delivering a fast-paced first-person shooter experience that allowed players to control not just agile pilots but also beefy titans, while waging war against others across many vast maps.

Since that time, Respawn has made sure to add new features to the game via free updates but also premium expansions, greatly increasing the time people spent with the competitive shooter experience.

The latest and greatest update is set to debut today, in the form of patch #8, and Respawn has already shared some details about its new cooperative mode that pits players against waves of AI-controlled enemies, not to mention some of its new additions.
Many bug fixes and enhancements are also present

Now, the studio confirms on its official website that plenty of other improvements are included in the patch, starting with 17 fresh achievements for the Xbox one version of the game and all-new graphics quality settings for the PC edition, in the form of HBAO for all video cards, and TXAA only for Nvidia ones.

Many other improvements have been made to the user interface so that the daily challenge and the time left to complete it are better displayed, while Marked for Death and Last Titan Standing game modes have seen some improvements.

Loading times have been shortened, while bugs have been fixed

Besides these enhancements, Respawn has also managed, with the new patch, to reduce loading times for the shooter.

"Load times are now significantly faster. Specifically the time it takes to get from the main menu to a private lobby has been greatly reduced as well as the time to get from the game back into the lobby at the end of a match," the studio explains.

Loading screens should also display the correct map name and game mode as early as possible, without any delay or bugs from the last map and mode.

The patch also includes fixes for a wide array of bugs relating to Titan shields, unsilenced pistols, or unavailable warnings that failed to show when a titan was being targeted or attacked through the rodeo method.

Performance problems on the Xbox One, not to mention issues with the user interface in the lobby, have also been remedied in the new patch.

Titanfall game update #8 drops later today, October 23, for the PC and Xbox One platforms around the world.
