The 2020 Taipei Game Show is set to the first huge gaming event of the year, as it will showcase titles like Cyberpunk 2077, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, and The Last of Us Part II. The 2020 gaming calendar has seen several shake-ups recently and some of the key titles that will be shown at the Taipei Game Show have been delayed over the past few weeks.

The Taipei Game Show is one of the biggest video game events in Asia and is the only show of its kind held in Taiwan. In recent years, the Taipei Game Show has featured games from some of the biggest developers in the industry and 2020 will be no exception. It has already been revealed that Elden Ring will be at the Taipei Game Show, which might give the gaming public their first glimpse at the gameplay of the highly-anticipated collaboration between Game of Thrones creator George R. R. Martin and the studio responsible for the Dark Souls series.

The 2020 Taipei Game Show will feature some of the biggest games of the year, including several of the titles that were recently delayed. According to VG247, the recently delayed Final Fantasy 7 Remake will be showcased at the event and that it will have its own dedicated area. The other major PlayStation games that will be shown at the event include Nioh 2 and the also delayed The Last of Us Part II, which was pushed to May 2020 at the end of last year.

CD Projekt Red will be showing the also delayed Cyberpunk 2077 at the event. VG247 is claiming that new content for Cyberpunk 2077 will be shown to a select audience at the event, though the nature of this content (or if it will be made publically available) is not known at this time.

2020 is shaping up to be a huge year in gaming. The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X is coming at the end of the year, while some of the most highly-anticipated games of the previous decade will finally make their way into the hands of the public. There still hasn't been a Nintendo Direct or Sony State of Play event in 2020 and E3 is still several months away, so it's possible that the Taipei Game Show could be the event that steals the most headlines this year, especially with the killers row of titles that have already been confirmed for the show.

The Taipei Game Show will run from February 6 to February 9, 2020.
