The development team at DICE has promised that a big update for Star Wars Battlefront is coming alongside the new Outer Rim downloadable content pack, and full patch notes have been revealed for the update, which is apparently around 8 GB big and will start deploying to all platform soon.



The official forums explain that gamers will have to wait until the servers go down for maintenance and then back up today before they can enjoy all the bug fixes and improvements that the development team is introducing.
A full list of the tweaks can be seen by clicking on the button at the end of this article and all Star Wars Battlefront players are receiving an increased level cap, improvements to the scoreboard, an improvement to matchmaking that allows teams to re-balance when moving from one map to another and easier ways to get into game modes.
According to DICE, the Hutt Contracts are also active for the entire community, allowing gamers to get access to Star Cards and weapons and players can use spectator mode in private matches and a new teamplay focus that gives each gamer a way to highlight objectives and direct their team in battle.
Outer Rim is the first of the paid DLC for Star Wars Battlefront Gamers who are paying for the package will be able to play on two new maps, on Tatooine, and Sulluth, and there are also new weapons and Star Cards that gamers can use to enhance their performance.
Greedo and Nien Nunb are the two new heroes that gamers can access on the battlefield.
DICE has said that it plans to deliver another three major DLC packs for Star Wars Battlefront and that another six major characters from the original trilogy of movies will be delivered to the community.
Bespin is arriving during the summer and will allow players to battle inside Cloud City, and the Death Star is the focus for the pack that will be offered in the summer, with a mysterious DLC that does not have a name yet set to arrive in the winter.
It's nice to see that DICE is ready to deliver big updates for Star Wars Battlefront at the same time and that there's plenty of new content to keep players who are not interested in paying for new content occupied.
According to Electronic Arts, there are plans to deliver more Battlefront titles in the coming years that will explore other content associated with the movie universe.
