Ever since Sony re-revealed The Last Guardian for PlayStation 4 at E3, the publisher has kept a tight lid on the project. According to Sony Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida, this is being done to preserve the story.

"Development is going well, but because it's about the story, we don't want to show too much," Yoshida told GameSpot. "We wanted to show that it exists, it works, it runs. It's not like we won't show anything before launch, but I think we will try to limit what we show about the game."

The Last Guardian was noticeably absent from this year's Tokyo Game Show, with only an interactive version of the game's giant bird-like creature on display.

While Sony has yet announce a firm release date, the upcoming PlayStation 4 exlcusive is slated for release in 2016. For more on The Last Guardian, be sure to check out our impressions from earlier this year.
