Sony says that there are no plans to launch a bundle that will feature both the PlayStation VR and the PlayStation 4 home console when the virtual reality platform is first introduced in October, although one might be revealed later based on the how the public reacts to the new technology.

The information comes from Kim Ryan, the President and Chief Executive Officer of the European division of the company, who tells GameReactor that, "No, we won’t do it at launch. I think we will wait and see just how well this thing is received in the market over the period of months, and it may be one thing we could look at. It would be quite an expensive bundle."
Apparently, the concern for Sony is to make sure that it does not compromise the core PlayStation 4 experience and that it does not confuse potential customers by offering too many versions of its hardware.
Jim Ryan also describes virtual reality as both exciting and intriguing and says that his company wants to see how PlayStation VR performs initially before it makes any announcements about its future.
The new VR platform will be offered for the price of 399 dollars or Euro in October, and it will also need the 60-dollar or Euro Camera in order to work. However, Sony is saying that it plans to come up with a bundle that features both the pieces of hardware and the Move controller for an undisclosed price.
PlayStation VR will feature Cinematic mode and a social app During the Game Developers Conference, Sony has announced that it wants to allow users of the VR headset to play classic PlayStation 4 video games using a special mode that also makes it easy to watch media content.
A social app will also be featured in the software associated with the PlayStation VR, which will use the Move controller to represent a user’s hand and allows them to create gestures and emotes.
Sony also says that it has more than 230 developers working on video games that use virtual reality and that the launch slate includes Tumble VR, PlayStation VR Worlds, and an experience based on Star Wars Battlefront.
The company has also clarified the role of the extra processing unit that comes with the new platform, which is designed to handle the complex object-based audio and to make sure that the Cinematic mode runs as well as possible.
