The development team at Capcom in charge of the upcoming Resident Evil Revelations 2 is clearly determined to make the experience appealing to long-term fans of the franchise and the studio announces that player favorite Barry Burton will be back and will have a brand new storyline designed to introduce some interesting challenges.

The company is showing off some of the moves the character uses in a new trailer and explains that he is headed to a prison island set in a remote location in order to try and find his daughter Moira.

The studio states, “Barry meets brand new character Natalia Korda, a little girl who has a strange power that allows her to sense enemies and hidden items. Using this skill alongside Barry’s proven combat abilities, players will need to alternate between the two to survive the mysterious island and find Moira.”

Capcom has also said that Resident Evil Revelations 2 is set to be delivered in four episodes and has offered clear dates for all of them.

The first chunk of content will be offered on February 17 on the PlayStation Store in North America, with the rest of the installments coming at one week intervals.

In European territories, owners of a PlayStation 4 or PS3 will get it one day later, and at the same time gamers can also pick up Resident Evil Revelations 2 in the official Xbox store and on Steam for the PC.

For each new episode of the title, Capcom will include two playable scenarios, one focused on Claire and Moira and another which features Barry and Natalia.

Two brand new enemies that will be featured are the Rotten and the Revenant, both of them designed to terrify gamers and to force them to adapt their strategies.

Resident Evil Revelations 2 has a Complete Season pass

Gamers who want to experience everything the new title from Capcom has to offer will be able to get a Complete Season pass.

They will have access to two more episodes for each pair of characters and they will also be able to experience Hunk as a character in the Raid mode.

Resident Evil Revelations 2 will also get a full retail release on March 10, which will contain all the four core episodes, the spin-off content, the Hunk characters, and it will also add Albert Wesker for the Raid mode, more costumes to use and a new Throwback stage pack which includes maps from previous games in the series.
