PS4's opening weekend sales in Japan have been revealed.
322,083 consoles were bought in the first two days of sale, which is nearly four times the 88,443 PS3 systems sold during 2006, according to Famitsu (via The Verge).

It was noted that the impressive margin was due to supply constraints for the PS3, and added that the Wii U sold a similar number - 308,570 - during its launch in 2012.
PS4 launched in Japan on February 22 alongside several new trailers for its launch line-up.

The PS4's Japanese launch line-up is similar to that of its American and European counterparts, with Nobunaga's Ambition, Capcom's Strider remake and Yakuza: Ishin among the notable differences.
In the UK, console supplies will be constrained until April.
