PS4 Firmware Update 5.0 Causing Problems For Those With Faulty Hardware

PS4 firmware updates have been creating problems for PS4 users and the PS4 Update 5.0 is no exception as many users have reported they are facing Error Code E-801809A8 which prevents them from updating the firmware. PS4 firmware update 5.0 rolled out yesterday, and it seems that the error is related to the bad hardware.

While Sony is yet to comment on the situation but, Reddit users and users of the official PlayStation forum have been reporting the issue. While it is not officially confirmed yet but, reports suggest that the error might be occurring due to a faulty Blu-Ray drive which might be preventing users from updating the firmware.

Users have also reported that they have tried installing the PS4 Firmware Update 5.0 in the safe mode but, to no avail. Also, without the software update, users are not able to connect to PSN.

In related news, Sony has announced that it will be making big new PS4 games announcements at Paris Games Week which starts later this month. Also, it is unclear whether these games will be multi-platform ot PlayStation exclusive titles.

Also, PS4 Piracy has become a thing as many high-profile games such as GTA V, Far Cry 4, and Assassin’s Creed IV have appeared online.

However, a new EU commission report on game piracy has been published which suggests that video game piracy doesn’t negatively impact the sales. According to the report, piracy might actually benefit the devs and publishers and also suggests that lowering the price of games might not decrease the piracy.
