The next entry in the Assassin's Creed franchise, rumored to be titled Assassin's Creed: Valhalla, will likely be revealed soon. Formerly known as Assassin's Creed: Ragnarok, the game's subtitle was allegedly revealed to be Valhalla when a complete list of the next Assassin's Creed game's achievements leaked online in late March 2020. According to the achievements, as well as other leaks and rumors surrounding the new Assassin's Creed, the game will be set in the era of Vikings and contain lots of references to Norse mythology.

Despite some complaints about level-gating player progression in their more recent titles, Ubisoft has continued to see success with their Assassin's Creed franchise. Recently, Assassin's Creed Unity was put on sale and became one of the best-selling games in the entire world, and then even more recently Ubisoft let players download Assassin's Creed 2, widely considered to be the best Assassin's Creed game, for free. Now, it's beginning to look as if fans waiting for the next entry in the historical murder simulator franchise won't have to wait much longer.

As reported by PlayStation LifeStyle, Wushu Studios' trusted leaker, Shinobi602, recently answered some questions on Twitter which many are taking as a sign that big Assassin's Creed news is coming soon. When asked if they knew when the next Assassin's Creed game was coming, Shinobi206 responded simply "Yes." When pressed by another person to reveal whether or not it would be coming soon, the leaker responded with a GIF of Michael Jordan nodded and smiling. Check out the exchange below:

While it's not an official confirmation, this is just one of many signs which point to the announcement of a new Assassin's Creed game right around the corner. Previous leaks have indicated that the game was originally going to be revealed back in February, and although in the past other industry insiders have suggested that the majority of the rumors they've seen surrounding the game are false, this was all before the big Assassin's Creed Valhalla achievement list reveal last month.

It's been nearly two years since the last game in the franchise, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, was released, and so the idea of a new Assassin's Creed game being revealed soon is pretty easy to agree with, even without all of the leaks, rumors, and industry members backing up that information. If the game does indeed plan on taking players on an epic adventure through the age of the Vikings, there's lots of potential to deliver an Assassin's Creed game with the best parts of 2, Black Flag, and Odyssey all rolled into one. Hopefully, fans of the franchise will find out soon.
