The development team at Blizzard continues to give players a look at the core gameplay mechanics of Overwatch, with the most recent video offering a look at Reaper, a mercenary character, and the way he can be used to dominate the battlefield.

The footage is taken directly from the PC and is running at 1080p resolution and 60 frames per second, with the character part of the attacking team on the Temple of Anubis map, when the Point Capture game mode is active.

Reaper uses powerful twin hellfire shotguns to take out enemies and can turn into a wraith in order to take no damage for a limited period.

He also gains the ability to move through enemies, but he cannot access his other abilities.

Players can also choose to deploy a Shadow Step ability to move around the battlefield, and his Ultimate will give him a chance to rapidly deliver shots to all enemies around him.

Overwatch does not currently have a launch window, but Blizzard is allowing gamers to join a beta period and offer feedback on the title.

The experience is designed to use some of the mechanics of the MOBA genre while still offering a first-person perspective, with a focus on teamwork.
