Nintendo has released new details about its upcoming service for the Nintendo Switch. This newly released information includes price plans as well as a updated release date for the service.

As we reported earlier this year, Nintendo was planning to have the service go live in Fall 2017, meaning that Switch owners could play games like Arms and the upcoming Splatoon for free until then. Nintendo has moved its paid online service period to 2018, meaning that you don't have to pay for the service until next year.

The publisher also outlined pricing plans for the service, which more or less resemble the same monthly membership plans for Xbox and Playstation (but cheaper!). Here are your options:

• 1 Month Membership: $3.99
• 3 Month Membership: $7.99
• 12 Month Membership: $19.99
