A new Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order gameplay trailer was revealed by EA and Respawn Entertainment earlier today, showcasing stealth play that includes the ability to hijack an AT-AT and pilot it through a level, destroying Imperial forces along the way. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is the best-looking game EA has revealed since the publisher acquired the franchise's license years ago, and has Star Wars fans holding out hope that the company will finally make good on the promise of several other projects and deliver a great Star Wars game for this generation.

Jedi: Fallen Order was first revealed during the Star Wars Celebration earlier this year, and its 2019 release date makes it one of the most hotly-anticipated games of the year. Gameplay is something like a mix between traditional Star Wars action games, Uncharted, and even Shadow of the Colossus, a combination of games that will make any fan excited by the possibilities. While the E3 2019 trailer showcased a bit of gameplay that felt more generic than many hoped for, however, rumors about a closed-door demonstration circulated later that suggested there was much more at play in Jedi: Fallen Order that would come to light in the near future.

It appears that time is now, as Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order's newest gameplay trailer unveiled several new gameplay mechanics based around stealth and vehicle combat that immediately launched the game into another level of intrigue. The trailer showcases Cal Kestis, the last remaining Jedi, as he infiltrates an Imperial AT-AT and hijacks it to make it through a combat zone. He meets up with other major characters and showcases some of the game's incredible aesthetic, showcasing the film-feel of its cutscenes and the orchestral music that feels true to Star Wars.

Of course, the trailer also shows off lightsaber combat, which looks as fluid as every other demonstration has teased. It closes on Cal getting caught after trying to free a Wookie, and closes on what appears to be a robot boss from early in the game. There's also a brief flash of what looked like it could be Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order dismemberment, a hot-button topic for the title that has caused divisive responses from fans. All in all, it's a solid trailer that does more to hype up the game, exactly what EA and developer Respawn Entertainment are looking for.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order's stealth and vehicle gameplay could be what sets it apart from previous efforts in the action-adventure genre for the franchise. With Respawn Entertainment riding a hot-streak of well-received titles and EA sorely needing a victory, could Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order be the cure for both consumer and developer ailments alike?
